Dr. Stabler Named VP of Academic Affairs




Lancaster General Health named Christine Stabler, MD, Lancaster, Vice President of the Office of Academic Affairs to oversee a teaching faculty of physicians, clinicians and researchers.

LANCASTER, PA — Dr. Stabler is a former Deputy Director of Family and Community Medicine at Lancaster General Hospital, where she has served since 1986. She will continue to provide clinical services at Lancaster General Health Family and Maternity Medicine.

The Office of Academic Affairs manages all medical education programs, including graduate medical education (GME) for residents and fellows; undergraduate medical education (UME) for third- and fourth-year medical students on clinical rotations; continuing medical education (CME) for physicians; and research programs. In addition, a new dental residency program at the hospital is planned to begin this summer.

Dr. Stabler is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and Thomas Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Lancaster General. She has teaching appointments at Drexel University College of Medicine, The Penn State College of Medicine and Temple University School of Medicine.
